Good morning,

Just a very short note: Thank you for all your positive e-mails and the great feedback. You’ve got me, so soon or later I will give you more insights of the 10 commandments.

Until then, take care and all the best,

Call for Zombies

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Hey guys,

Shall I apologize first for the title? No, because it is so true……

As I have mentioned before we are working on a huge project that the market will talk about. (No, I won’t tell you anything about it before April 2007)
Whenever I need to refresh my brain I browse some other great guy’s blogs.

This morning, 5:15am, I started to read some comments on Rich Schefren’s blog and I have to say I was ’shocked’, happy and sad at the same time.

Shocked to see that even on a blog like his, people are strange enough to post their frustration while showing their nescience. But as they say, “Ignorance is no excuse.”
Happy because these people make sure that I don’t have to be afraid of too much competition in this and any other business.
Sad because these people might have been motivated once and simply lost their own path and maybe even their hope. Instead they turned into cynics.

Instead of condemning them I want to share 10 commandments that could bring them back on track; at least that’s what they have done to me the last 16 years! I am giving you the short version as otherwise this would become the longest post in history.

  1. Get excited - Whatever you do, make sure you are hot on it!
  2. Become a dreamer again - Don’t allow anybody to steal your dreams!
  3. Never say ‘I can’t’ - You can, just do it again and again and once again!
  4. Stand for something - Stand up for your core values! This makes you special!
  5. Be controversial - No need to agree on everything. Keep your brain awake!
  6. Make a total commitment - As you can read in my other posts!
  7. Treat people like you’d like to be treated - Something special! Find it!
  8. Establish the right priority - Belief and love should be the basis for success!
  9. Develop your desire and the will to win - Do a little bit more than planned!
  10. Leadership is everything - Just Do It! Do it now but do it!

Don’t tell me that this isn’t great stuff?! It still gives me the creeps, always!
Feel free to comment on it but TRY IT FIRST!

What is the difference between winner and loser? The winner just DO IT!

I am sure you too can grow with these 10 fantastic commandments!

I wish you all the best,

Volker

You cannot live without commitment

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Good day,

After a long chat with my friend Dirk, who is running his own investment company, I have decided to add this category to my blog.

Why?

I believe that COMMITMENT is one of the central terms in my life. It is not only important for my business but also for my private life, my marriage, the relation to my son and my employees, my parents, friends; actually I can’t think of any topic that isn’t involved.

Let me share my favourite definition of ‘commitment’ with you, found in wordreference.com:

“…the act of binding yourself (intellectually or emotionally) to a course of action.”

I truly believe that ‘no commitment’ is one if not the major reason for the increasing rate of divorce. Just think of it for a minute. Once all the couples would take the sentence “till death do us part” as a commitment, we would hardly see any divorces. True?

This is how I look at things in general. You have to make up your mind whether you want to be wealthy or not.

If you say yes to your success, you have to say yes to extra work, yes to learn while the others might watch NBA, say yes to say no to your wife when she will ask for a night out although your weekly online course will be on.

Since each commitment can be one for the rest of your life, you better think twice before you enter into any new commitment.

Having said all this, here comes the question of the day: Have you made your commitments with yourself and the rest of the world?

For me it is the only chance to stay focused and to be balanced at the same time.
Do it and I am sure you find out the same for yourself.

Best regards from your deeply committed,

Volker
